The first draft of the Octopus Whitepaper v01 in german language can be downloaded. Main development will be in JRuby with some parts developed in Java and a WebClient in JavaScript. Main bulding block are the SoftGrid Content Repository and the distributet Document Store for the persistence, our SoftGrid Process Engine for the Business Logic and the Echo3 Web Framework for the client implementation.

This Application will be part of our CloudOS initiative.

SoftGrid is going to work on a CloudOS to host our Document Management and our Content Management Systems. The CloudOS will give you the experience to work with the applications without any installation or administrational tasks. Just register, login and start working. When you quit your work all results will be stored. They will be available as you left them for the next session. There will be no need to explicitly save or backup your work and the Undo history reaches back to the creation of any content.
